We contributes to the sustainable development of society

The SDGs are the international goals for the creation of a sustainable society to be achieved by 2030 as set forth in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which was unanimously adopted by the member states at the United Nations Summit in September 2015. SDGs are comprised of 17 specific goals and 169 targets in order to fundamentally solve various problems of the world and create a better environment for all.

 

Through BIOTEC’s business of manufacturing biodegradable materials, we endeavor to contribute to all of the SDG goals on a companywide basis.

PROTECTING THE SEAS AND WATER

Use of ECBIO instead of single time-use plastics.

The degradation of plastic products using our ECBIO material into microplastics in rivers and oceans will be completely eliminated due to its excellent biodegradability properties. Consequently, safer water resources, biodiversity conservation and better human health can be promoted through the use of ECBIO.

PROTECTING SOILS AND FORESTS

Use of ECBIO in place of conventional petroleum-based plastics for agricultural and civil engineering products.

ECBIO's biodegradability, water and moisture retention, and soil antioxidant effect can dramatically reduce soil and forest pollution.Therefore, ECBIO can help to reduce global warming, poverty, hunger and natural disasters due to its ability to enrich areas of lean soil and deserts.

PROTECTING THE ATMOSPHERE

Use of ECBIO as an alternative to petroleum-derived plastics.

ECBIO uses more abundant, resource-rich natural minerals and can reduce the use of scarce resources that face the threat of depletion. ECBIO also uses biomass-derived raw materials and has carbon-neutral properties. Therefore, ECBIO’s ability to reduce dependence upon fossil fuels that emit copious amounts of CO2 will help control global warming.

By establishing factories in multiple local cities, we expect to employ a wide range of diverse human resources and contribute positively to the economies of local regions.

 

In addition, by collaborating with domestic and overseas companies and organizations, we will work to accelerate research and development, product and technology recognition activities, and product dissemination.
