ECBIO

Biodegradable Composite Material Made from

Uniform and Highly-Dispersed Inorganic Substance

ECBIO uses Calcium Carbonate

ECBIO uses inorganic "Calcium Carbonate(CaCO3)" manufactured by crushing natural occurring mineral limestone.

Limestone is one of the few bountiful natural resources readily available within Japan, and has inexhaustible reserve globally.

Stable Supply & Low Price

Limestone can be obtained at low cost due to its large reserves and well-established mining and processing methods.

Decarbonization

Limestone does not require heat processing at the time of its procurement as a raw material. Also, its decomposing characteristics during high-temperature combustion emits significantly less CO2 than petroleum derived resins used to make conventional plastics

ECBIO uses material prevent microplastics pollution

Currently, there are various Biodegradable Materials. but many of them break down into microplastics which are now recognized to be hazardous to fish and other animals in the marine ecosystem.

ECBIO uses materials that help prevent microplastics pollution. Therefore, it resolves the environmental issues posed by petroleum-derived plastic materials because of its characteristic of achieving a high degree of biodegradable performance, while at the same time preventing the creation of microplastic wastes.

Optimal Biodegrability

For each application, ECBIO uses materials that have the optimum biodegradability characteristics for various ecosystems including land and ocean.

Reliable Biodegrability

ECBIO uses reliable biodegradable materials that pass biodegradability tests with high standards and have received global standards certification.
